What People Are Saying About Comfort Keepers®
Hundreds of people every day discover the exceptional brand of in-home care provided by Comfort Keepers—from seniors and their families to the exceptionally caring people who discover Comfort Keepers and choose to become a Comfort Keeper® themselves.
"I became acquainted with Comfort Keepers after my then 89 years young (and very active) Aunt, who suffers from dementia, fractured her shoulder and needed round-the-clock care. Even if I didn't live and work full-time in another town, I knew I'd be unable to give her the kind of care she would require. I was in a quandary until I heard through Kaiser Permanente about Comfort Keepers. After a week in a senior rehabilitation center, my Aunt was visibly relieved to learn she would be able to continue her recuperation at home. The Comfort Keepers came to her rescue with round-the-clock companionship, personal care and even a little vaudeville! They bathed her daily, washed her hair, changed her dressings, helped her with her medications and daily exercises, prepared her meals, took her for walks around the grounds and talked and chatted with her as if they were old friends...they even took her shopping for clothes that would help facilitate her healing. They just made her feel good, despite her circumstances. Their good vibes and optimism gave her a renewed interested in life. Today, at 90, she goes dancing at every opportunity and is the picture of health; I attribute her recovery largely to the care she received for the Comfort Keepers. I still call Comfort Keepers whenever my Aunt needs transportation to and from medical appointments or whenever the need arises. I trust them; I know they can be counted upon to provide exactly the kind of support my Aunt needs. The Comfort Keepers are definitely unsung heroes."
"When our family needed help with our elderly parents, housekeeping and doctor appointments, we turned to the licensed, bonded, and professional services of the Fremont Comfort Keepers. They gave updates on our parent's conditions when needed, the staff is friendly, accommodating, and even sent cards for their birthdays. The Comfort Keepers allowed them to stay in their own home, and treated them with dignity and respect. We where truly blessed by the helpers, highly recommend them, and we will never forget their wonderful services."
"I am pleased to write a recommendation for the Comfort Keepers home health care service. We have used their services to provide care for my mother in the morning and evening hours for the past 2 years. They have been very punctual and friendly with her. The quality of care has been excellent, helping with dressing, showers, and preparation for bedtime. They have become much more than caregivers. They have genuinely taken an interest in her, become friends and been a source of encouragement. In addition, they have helped with preparing meals, doing light housework, watering plants, and doing the laundry. They have also been very observant of her condition daily and reported to us when they noticed any changes. We appreciate that they have stayed later than their shifts to accommodate her needs and have accompanied her to the hospital a few times. I would be happy to be a reference for any potential customer."
"I was very happy with their services. They assisted with a short-term assignment, as my Dad was recuperating from eye surgery. All the people I worked with were responsive and professional. Nancy, the case manager, was fantastic! Overall I was very pleased with the organization."
"This is to thank you for your help during the past very trying weeks. When it was clear to me that caring for my wife as I would like to was beyond my physical capabilities, I contacted you and asked for support. I have to tell you that the help I got was critical for my wife and my well-being, and you and your capable staff excelled every step of the way. Be assured that you and your people will be the ones I call when additional care for my wife or me is required. Thank you!"
"My two caregivers were excellent and so sweet, they couldn't have been nicer or more helpful."
"I enjoy being a caregiver simply because I love being able to help people. Being a caregiver to me means I am able to come into someone's life and make a significant difference and that itself is a very rewarding experience. It is always a fun to learn about different things from different people. Each individual that I have met has a different story to tell, and I always feel appreciative whenever they open up to me & share little pieces of their life. After getting to know them, I always feel like I've made a friend and for that reason I love what I do even more."
"Hi, my name is Nicole K. and I am a proud Comfort Keeper. My journey began twenty years ago when I was a nurse’s aide for a sweet elderly woman. From that experience I learned the value and importance of providing personable care for those in need. What I like most about being a Comfort Keeper is the fact that I am lucky enough to meet so many wonderful interesting people. I enjoy talking to my clients about their lives (past & present), their families, their hobbies and anything else they might want to talk about. What I enjoy about helping others are the smiles I receive while providing care. I am personally gratified in knowing that giving my undivided attention to a client is sometimes all that is needed in order to brighten their day. So for me providing excellent compassionate care embodies what it truly means to be a Comfort Keeper and I am very proud of that!"
